The lotion bar in the twist-up tube is great If you don't like too much moisturizer on your hands. If this is not an issue, make hard bars using jelly molds or muffin trays (hard recipe recommended).
If you are using the hard bar recipe, you need to give it a good rub for application - best on chapped heels and elbows.
If you like something that will glide more smoothly all over the body, use the soft bar recipe.

Method
Mix and melt all the ingredients in a double-boiler if you have one. If not, boil some water in a pot and put the mixing bowl on top of the pot to melt the ingredients, stirring occasionally.
When the ingredients have completely melted, pour it into twist-up tubes or into muffin or jelly moulds. Let the liquid cool and it will gradually harden. The less beeswax or more oil you add, the softer the lotion bar will get. More shea butter gives it a creamier texture.
